Ms. Namratha Kondam is an Engineer Intern II with Atkinson-Noland & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in evaluation and repair of masonry materials and structures. Joining the firm in 2021, her current work includes non-destructive evaluation, condition assessment of modern and historic structures, and laboratory testing. Ms. Kondam also brings a strong knowledge of structural engineering and historic preservation to the ANA team.
 
Ms. Kondam received a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Mahindra École Centrale in India and Master of Science Degree in Historic Preservation with a focus in Architectural Conservation from the University of Pennsylvania. She received the Charles E. Peterson award from the Carpenters’ Company of the City and County of Philadelphia for specialized study of historic building technology at the University of Pennsylvania.
 
Prior to joining Atkinson-Noland, Ms. Kondam completed an internship with the Center for Architectural Conservation at the University of Pennsylvania. She was involved in preparing condition drawings and a report for the vulnerability study of the cemetery walls at Tumacácori National Historical Park. Her master’s thesis was research on using Infrared Thermography as a non-destructive method to measure the moisture patterns in lime-plaster finishes of historic free-standing exterior adobe walls at Tumacácori National Historic Park.
